March 11, 2004 Carlos, Thanks so much for all your help and expertise in assisting us with the recent purchase of our Forester. Purchasing a car is many times looked upon as stressful due to sales pressure and confusing "deals". Your invoice pricing and low key, helpful manner made this purchase a breeze -- fun and exciting. Again, thanks so much. We look forward to an extended business relationship with Valenti. This may be our first Subaru but it will not be our last. Sincerely, Frank and Sharon Toner
February 01, 2004 Gentlepersons of Valenti and Subaru, USA: My son Alberto and I have just purchased a new Subaru Forester XT from Carlos Pineda of Valenti Subaru in Westerly, Rhode Island. This was the most pleasant, smooth, painless process imaginable. Carlos was honest, pleasant, personable, reliable, responsive and most of all trustworthy. He quoted the best price (by very far!) from our first contact over the internet, and there was no attempt at any "bait and switch" or adding any overpriced options, nor any of the other games played by many car dealers and salespeople for over a century. I shall be encouraging many other friends and acquaintances to visit and deal with Carlos of Valenti Subaru. Alberto has been a Subaru fan for years, and seeing how his vehicle was an increasingly unreliable ten years old, and he is graduating from Brown Medical School this May, we researched the Forester XT in detail. We've followed the glowing articles about Subarus in the automotive press for years, and the addition of the Turbocharger has transformed the Forester from an already excellent "Soccer Mom's car" into a practical, capacious yet camouflaged WRX sports car! With Subaru quality, reliability and fair cost to boot! We've been longtime fans of Teddy Roosevelt's maxim: "Speak softly, but carry a Big Stick!", and prefer low profile vehicles that do not feed into the stereotypes some members of the general public has of certain professionals. The Forester XT more than satisfies these requirements. You run a first class, honest and reputable dealership. We applaud and appreciate your integrity, and encourage you to forward this note to Subaru USA and International. They have an exemplary Dealership and Salesperson on Team Subaru in Carlos Pineda. We shall be repeat customers. Very truly yours, Frank Savoretti, JD, MD General Internal Medicine Johnston Medical Center
December 8, 2003 Dear Carlos and Harold, OK - so here's the scoop. After 5 consecutive mini-vans from 1984 until 2001, I was finally ready to retire from the "chauffeuring" years and choose a sedan. Mercedes, mmmmmmmmmm, a conservative entry-level C class was just what I had dreamed of. It's so handsome, clean and sharp - well that is/was until I tried to drive it in the snow last year. It handled so terribly, I actually got stuck - dead stuck, no traction - had to get pushed on a hill in Portsmouth. Needless to say, some of the joy of owning a Mercedes left me that day. Spring arrived, followed by Summer and my love affair with my Mercedes was back on...well sort of. I had this lingering dread of the coming winter and wondered if my nightmare of last year would repeat itself. "Lets look for a little four-wheel drive truck," I suggested to my husband. "Something I can drive in the winter." This began our search, one that eventually led us off the island to your wonderful little home grown Subaru dealership. We felt instantly comfortable there, and struck a deal on a shiny silver Baja car/truck ("Call it a vehicle," Carlos suggested) This past weekend we put our Baja to the test with the first snow of the season and it PASSED WITH FLYING COLORS. My husband swears it handles better than any vehicle he has ever driven in the snow, including his Jeep. I drove all over and never once had the sense of no control or slipping and sliding. We LOVE IT! Thanks to Subaru's brilliant All-Wheel Drive system, I look forward to the joys and challenges of a New England winter this year. If a prospective customer wants to chat about a Subaru, refer him/her to us, please. Sign us satisfied Christine and David Kirchner
November 24, 2003 Dear Matthew Mattera, General Manager Lori and I have talked about writing this letter for a long time. Combined we have owned cars for 76 years. From Mercedes-Benz to VW bugs (the original), Buicks to Chevrolets. The best experience we have ever had with cars has been with Subaru and the best experience we have had with a dealership has been with Valenti Subaru. The last 7 cars our family has purchased have been Subarus, and we own 4 at this time. Six of those were purchased at Valenti and as long as we buy Subaru it will be from your dealership. You and your sales staff have been outstanding in getting us information when we needed it and you have the best prices around. What really has put you over the top in our minds has been Craig Miller and his staff of service technicians. He and they are the very best! These people have serviced our cars as if they were their own. When Craig has not been available Mike King has always jumped right in to help. The same thing has happened with Mike Guglielmo, who runs parts. Lori and I spend a great deal of time on the road, driving as much as 35,000 miles a year. We have never felt more sure that our cars are in great shape and that we don't have to worry about things breaking down because they were not serviced correctly. Keep up the good work and thanks again from two appreciative customers. Bob & Lori Bomes
April 4, 2003 Dear Harold, Carlos, Dick and all the Valenti Crew, Just a note of thanks for your roles in making the purchase of our new Subarus a stress-free and pleasant experience. It was a pleasure dealing with people who treated us with respect. Your no nonsense approach is refreshing. We are enjoying our Subarus and will certainly recommend you to others. We are looking forward to a long relationship with Valenti Subaru. Thanks again. Regards, George and Deb Tibbetts
March 5, 2003 Valenti Subaru 6 Langworthy Rd. Westerly, RI, 02891 Phone: (401) 322-7200 Fax: (401) 322-9870 To Whom It May Concern: I just wanted to write in and describe what a great experience I had with purchasing a Forester at your dealership. I had contacted five local dealerships and spoke to each one on the phone. The majority of the people I spoke to were either pushy or did not seem very interested in helping me. After placing an online bid for a Forester XS, Carlos contacted me and although my bid was too low, he was willing to offer me a substantial discount without the typical excuses I was getting at other dealerships. I asked Carlos to price out a more expensive model for me and the price was very acceptable. I drove down to look at the car, and came home with it that day. Carlos's fantastic customer service and exemplary attitude are what made me purchase my car at Valenti Subaru. I had the same price quote at a dealer right near my house, but instead, I chose to drive forty minutes out of my way because of the way Carlos handled matters. Thank you very much. Sincerely,

March 4, 2003 I think for most people anxiety is aroused when purchasing big ticket items such as homes and cars. I am no exception. I spent months prior to visiting Valenti Subaru shopping, reading and talking to people about new and pre-owned vehicles. When I actually started visiting dealerships my anxiety was heightened. Understandably, in this sluggish economy, businesses and their sales teams are under considerable pressure to convince consumers that they should buy. However I encountered various degrees of coercion, while my clear communication about what I wanted and did not want went unheard. After a particularly humiliating experience during which as a single woman shopping, I was lied to, pressured and virtually accused, I concluded that I either had to bring a man with me or buy used from the classifieds. Needless to say, I was angry and disappointed. But, I really wanted a new car, because I intended to keep it for a long time as I have my other vehicles. When the Presidents Day sales were being advertised, I decided to call around once more to determine if anyone really was having a sale. I figured I would rent a guy for the process just so I wouldn't pay thousands of dollars more for being perceived as a stupid, uninformed and malleable female. Fortune had it that you answered the phone at Valenti Subaru. Vou were polite, answering my questions directly without badgering me with questions not pertinent to the transaction. Not only did I get the best deal within a hundred mile radius of Providence, I was treated with genuine warmth, respect and trust. I got the impression that you, Carlos as well as your sales manager and the owner were as happy for me as you all were about selling a car. I have already begun spreading the word about an entirely positive car buying experience. I especially stress to my female friends that there is a nearby dealership where they can count on go.od information, a friendly staff, and a safe and superior product at a good price. My only regret about buying a Subaru, since it is such a dependable and durable car, is that I will have little reason to visit Valenti Subaru again for a very long time. My best wishes to you, Carlos in your career and especially your upcoming marriage. Please extend my thanks to the rest of the staff. Valenti Subaru is welcome to use any or all of this 1etter to attract other customers who would be fortunate to do business with you. Gratefully, |
